This software tool facilitates both non-composite and composite design stages for multi-span and single-span decks.
It covers essential aspects like fire resistance, serviceability limit state checks (including deflection and vibration), and unpropped construction.
The software streamlines the design process, incorporating manufacturers’ data for resistance values and allowing engineers to calculate and verify both slab and beam designs for their project.
Versatile deck design: the software supports multi-span and single-span decks for both propped and unpropped construction. It also incorporates manufacturers’ data for resistance values, allowing accurate calculations of deflection, vibration, and fire resistance.
Comprehensive slab design: for slab design, the tool calculates self-weight based on floor layout, supports fire limit state design using temperature profiles, and residual material strengths. It includes various deck types such as Svelte, Hibond, Concrete Saver, Ultra Span, and Comflor, and slabs are analysed as single spanning in the direction of the profiled decking and treats the decking and reinforcement mesh appropriately for tension and anti-crack reinforcement.
Optimised beam design: for beam design, the software handles simply supported composite beams with various steel section options. It verifies beams at elevated temperatures, reporting critical temperatures.
User-friendly interface: users can define project settings, add new slabs or beams, and review analysis results. The user interface also includes tabs for managing files, projects, slab designs, and beam designs, with functionalities for creating, uploading, and downloading project files, and analysing and optimising beam sections based on design inputs and outputs.
Compliance with industry standards: this software is compliant with AS/NZS 2327 (Australian/New Zealand Standard Composite structures-Composite steel-concrete construction in buildings), giving you the confidence that your steel-concrete columns meet regulatory requirements.
