Paper B – Application of standards.

Delivery format and location

The exams are held online via HERA’s e-learning platform and can be done any time after attending and completing the welding supervisor in person course (though it is recommended to do as close to attending the course, so that the information is fresh in your mind).

You can also opt to do a refresher course to prepare yourself for the exams. It is in two parts (Paper A and Paper B) and includes a question and answer segment for each part. When enrolling for your exam, you’ll need to select the ‘refresher course’ in section three of the application form if you’d like to do this.

Exam process

On your application being accepted to attend the exam, you will be sent detailed instructions via email for both the exam and the refresher course (if you selected to do this).

On completion of your exam, you will be emailed your exam results. Please allow 10 working days for these results.

Where a candidate has taken both papers in their exam and doesn’t achieve a pass for one of them, only that paper will need to be retaken.
