HERA Board nominations

Would you or someone you know like to serve on the Board of HERA?

If you have both experience in the heavy engineering industry and a strong governance background, we want you!

The HERA Chair now invites Platinum Ordinary Members to make nominations for the HERA Board.

Current elected/appointed Board members and available positions

Board members whose terms will expire at the 2025 HERA AGM, but are available for re-election:

Malcolm Hammond, MJH Engineering Ltd (9.1.4)
Wayne Carson, D&H Steel Construction (9.1.4)

Available positions are:

2 for Nominees of Ordinary or Associate members (9.1.3)
3 for Nominees of Ordinary or Associate members engaged in heavy fabrication (9.1.4)

If more nominations are received than available positions, an election by secure electronic ballot of current renewed Ordinary members will be held.

Board members are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings, represent HERA at key functions, join sub-committees as required, attend the AGM and participate in online governance activities in between meetings.

The HERA AGM will be held on Wednesday 25 June 2025 at venue HERA House, 17-19 Gladding Place, Manukau City.
