Worksafe New Zealand is consulting on a proposed amendment to the Code of Practice HSNOCOP 24 Above Ground Stationary Tanks with Integral Secondary Containment.
The Code applies to the design and installation of above ground stationary tanks with integral secondary containment. It provides a means of compliance with the requirements of Clause 3 of Schedule 9 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
This code provides a practical means of installing tanks with integral secondary containment without the need to make an application under Schedule 9 Clause 3 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxics Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
This code recognises specific standards which these tanks are constructed to.
If you would like your comments included in any submission the NZMEA may make, please submit them to the Association by Monday 21 September.
If you wish to make your own submission in respect of this code of practice you can obtain a copy of the document by email and forward it to WorkSafe New Zealand by end of day on 2 October 2015.
