Our General Manager Systems General Manager Dr Stephen Hicks has been invited to deliver a keynote address at the National Road And Rail Infrastructure Symposium in Australia this month.
This symposium will bring together an array of local, national and international leaders working in the area of road and rail infrastructure to try and bring a focus to this issue and the potential remedies to this situation.
The speakers will discuss the current state of these systems, the areas of primary need, which will also help to focus our attention on future areas of research and potential government investment. Inherent in much of this future investment will be the need to ensure that structures are both sustainable and resilient and our list of speakers will address these issues.
Another area of increasing focus in the area of infrastructure systems is the use of technology and the increased potential for the use of structural health monitoring.
