Senior Structural Fire Engineer

I come from a multi-disciplinary background in structural and structural fire engineering, bringing 17 years’ of industry and research experience (including post-graduation in Aotearoa and India) to HERA. I completed my PhD at the University of Canterbury in Structural Fire Engineering and I’m deeply immersed in driving innovation – particularly in the areas of structural systems, structural steel performance in fire, and sustainability.

My experience mostly comprises of design of medium-rise structures across various materials including steel, concrete, and composite, seismic strengthening and assessments, design of highway bridges, townhouse developments and high-end architectural houses. Apart from new designs and strengthening I have undertaken several peer review projects of medium to high rise buildings (apartments, offices and hotels), warehouses and electrical substations. My active involvement in cutting-edge research in structural fire engineering underscores my commitment to advancing the field.

My passion for finding innovative solutions to industry’s engineering challenges aligns perfectly with HERA’s core values. I’m deeply committed to driving growth and sustainability within the industry, leveraging my expertise to pioneer new approaches and technologies. Being a part of the HERA team provides me with a platform to not only apply these innovative solutions but also to contribute to the industry’s evolution.
