Since graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Auckland in 1985, my career has been based largely in the steel industry. I began my career with NZ Steel in a product and market development role developing and commercialising steel products, where my final role there was to establish the Steltech welded beam manufacturing plant and launch welded beams in Aotearoa New Zealand.

From there, I was involved in the light-gauge steel framing industry for 12 years before taking the role of General Manager and Director of Clearwater Construction. In 2009, starting my role at D&H Steel Construction which is where I am currently based.

I have also served as the past Chair of Steel Construction NZ (SCNZ) having been involved in many SCNZ industry initiatives over the years and was very proud to have received the SCNZ Chair Award for contribution to the industry. I am also the current Chair of HERA Certifications Ltd.
