knowledge transfer – project lead
University of Auckland
Professor Innovation Management
My special interests are focused in on innovation, and are focused on the circular economy, Industry 4.0, knowledge sharing, and management of knowledge, innovation and R&D.
Iโm based in Tฤmaki Makaurau, Auckland
I hold a PhD degree from Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and am a Professor of Innovation and Research Management at the University of Auckland Business School.
Since 2018, I have served as Head of Department of Management and International Business at the University of Auckland Business School.
My research falls into two areas: innovation – including the topics of R&D collaboration, science and innovation policy, innovation in low and medium tech industries; and knowledge management – including the topics of knowledge sharing and knowledge governance.
Some of my research link these two areas, including examining issues related to knowledge sharing in open source software development and knowledge sharing and governance in R&D alliances.
I have consulted and conducted executive training in both companies and public institutions in a number of European countries. My academic work has appeared in top academic journals, such as Journal of Management Studies, California Management Review, Technovation, Journal of World Business, Organisational Dynamics, International Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Creativity and Innovation Management, and others.
My latest co-edited book is Management perspectives on the COVID-19 crisis: Lessons from New Zealand (Edward Elgar, 2021). I also serve as Regional Editor for the Journal of Knowledge Management and as Associate Editor in Technology Innovation Management Review.
Listen in as we chat with Kenneth Husted on his mahi in the Ngฤkopa Construction 4.0 Technology Transfer theme he leads.
This Wฤnanga was an opportunity for the research team to get together with the Co-Chairs of the IAG.
In the knowledge transfer theme we’re creating an alternative to traditional linear knowledge or technology required to create transformation.
Just recently we had our kick-off meeting with the Construction 4.0 team at HERA House – joined by many of our team.
HERA has been successful in the 2022 round of funding for a four-year Construction 4.0 research project.
HERA invited to speak at the University of Auckland School of Business on our innovation and entrepreneurship experiences in heavy engineering.
