I am deeply committed to completing the cycle of continuous improvement through the data collected, following new technological developments in the fields of manufacturing and its quality control to form the basis for technical discussions with the design, production, and quality teams. I take pride in my multifaceted engineering background which has been able to contribute to the local metal community since joining HERA.

When I was little, I dreamt of making the world a better place like a superhero – saving the day, flying alongside planes, and rescuing cats from trees!

Today, as a BS Mechanical Engineer and International Welding Engineer with nearly three decades of diverse global experience, I fly a lot in planes (rather than alongside them) and I bring a superhero passion to my work. My career has taken me from lecturing at universities to leading major turnkey construction projects, from power plants to shipbuilding, across Aotearoa New Zealand, Turkey, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. Iโ€™ve also spent seven years in the Defence Industry, contributing to the design and mass production of fourth-generation main battle tanks.

At HERA, my focus is on advanced manufacturing technologies, welding, mechanical testing, and non-destructive testing. I specialise in a range of cutting-edge technologies, including nanotechnologies, robotics, and advanced testing methods. My daily work is busy! It involves providing technical support, conducting certification audits, managing operations, and developing new training programs. Itโ€™s a role that keeps me traveling across Aotearoa, tackling challenges, and finding satisfaction in a day well spent. Iโ€™m always looking forward to my head finding a pillow!

When Iโ€™m not at work, Iโ€™m a freedom fighter dedicated to seeking truth and advancing human rights, striving to align my actions with science, human physiology and nature free from trends and status quo.

Looking to the future, my dreams are simple: to continue living a meaningful life, enjoying a cup of tea, and cherishing both the good and bad memories that have shaped me. I take pride in having contributed to many successful projects around the world and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
