This report sets out to answer what the likely economic impact of the construction industry adopting 4.0 technologies might be using BERLโs model of the Aotearoa New Zealand economy. The authors begin by building a mathematical picture of the economy of Aotearoa under a set of assumptions, which closely match the reality of 2021. They then append to this base case model a set of different assumptions matching three scenarios to build up a defensible range for the impact of the construction industry adopting 4.0 technologies that allow for more efficient and effective communication and task planning.
