Ep. 76 | Whanake’s Lily & Lydia

Listen on your favourite podcast platform

In this episode of Stirring the Pot we’re talking with Whanake Scholarship recipients Lydia Frater and Lily Sanson .

The future of work is increasingly Māori, and it is predicted that Māori will represent approximately 30% of the workforce by 2030. Specifically for the steel industry, it has already been found that the growth of Māori in high skilled occupations like managers and professionals has been exponential.

Kim Nugent dives into how the Whanake Scholarship is positioning the Heavy Engineering sector to become the employer of choice in this fast approaching reality
