Finance Manager
BCom (Accounting & Banking), CPA candidate
At HERA, I believe Iโm making an important contribution to the organisationโs strategic direction and the metals industry, with the opportunity to be part of a diverse team which has a direct impact on my personal and professional learning curve.
I joined the HERA whฤnau in 2020!
I’m Fiji-Indian and speak Fiji-Hindi and Hindi confidently and understand Fijian and Bislama
My additional roles include:
HERA Foundation Treasurer
For as long as I can remember, Iโve had a passion for words and an insatiable curiosity to learn. Whether diving into science, theology, religious texts or even food journals, Iโve always been eager to absorb knowledge!
When I was eight, I discovered the word โscientistโ, and I was instantly captivated by the idea of using knowledge to make the world a better place. By Year 10, an eccentric English teacher sparked my love for literature and words, and I was set to become a teacher – however, life had other plans! Today, I oversee the financial functions for HERA, its subsidiary HERA Certification Ltd and an associated incorporated society; the HERA Foundation after pursuing a scholarship in Accounting and Banking.
At HERA, my work supports our strategic goals, and I collaborate closely with our CEO and the Financial Audit & Risk Committee. My role also allows me to provide financial clarity and support to the HERA Lead team, ensuring weโre aligned with our strategic objectives and the Living Standards Framework – delivering on my seven yearโs Fortune 500 experience.
I balance my day as a Finance Manager with being a momager to my neurodiverse son, bestie to my strong willed gorgeous daughter, E.A to my partner, and a superwoman who juggles everything from cooking to being the familyโs chief problem solver!
After taking a nearly four-year break to care for my son during a challenging time, I was given the opportunity to re-enter the workforce by HERA, which has reignited my confidence and gave me the flexibility to kick start my career again. My aspirations for the future are to continue growing with HERA and fulfilling my childhood dreams of learning and contributing to something truly meaningful.
