SFC scheme
Evaluating and pre-qualifying steel fabricators.
The Steel Fabrication Certification scheme is focused on ensuring participating steel fabricators and component manufacturers can manufacture product to the requirements of AS/NZS 5131 (Structural Steelwork – Fabrication and Erection).
HERA Cert issues certification on verified compliance from participating parties, and provides technical scope and control over content applicable to the scheme.
Zero carbon steel program
Verifying emissions offsetting.
The steel product carbon offset program – Hōtaka Whakakore Puhanga Waro (mo te Hua Rino) provides a robust carbon offsetting program for steel products in Aotearoa. Emissions for most steel products in Aotearoa are calculated using HERA’s online calculator so that a user can then seek to offset these emissions via an offsetting service provider of their preference.
HERA Cert issues certification on verified offsetting of emissions for the participating parties project or product as either ‘Net Zero Carbon’ or ‘Carbon Conscious’ certified.
