When I was six years old, I dreamed of being a professional magician, captivated by the idea of turning the impossible into reality!

Little did I know that my future career as a structural and fire engineer would align so closely with that childhood aspiration—finding innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering.

Today, with 17 years of industry and research experience across Aotearoa and India, I apply my passion for structural systems, steel performance in fire, and sustainability to real-world challenges. I completed my PhD at the University of Canterbury in Structural Fire Engineering and have led projects involving medium-rise structures, seismic assessments, highway bridge design, and peer reviews of high-rise buildings. My work bridges the technical and the innovative, blending my love for problem-solving with a commitment to creating safer, more sustainable buildings.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially playing with my young kid. 

Looking ahead, my focus is on driving sustainable growth in the heavy engineering sector, and fostering new technologies and research. By collaborating with talented teams and like-minded professionals, I aim to further advance the industry, making it more innovative and resilient for the future.
