I’m proud to work at HERA, where we play a meaningful role in the metals industry by cultivating government support to strengthen our position as the industry voice – delivering well-deserved recognition to our members and their incredible achievements.

Did you know…

I joined the HERA whānau in 2020!

My additional roles include:
HERA Health and Safety Chair

When I was young I dreamed of becoming a supermodel – no doubt inspired by my towering height at a young age! As I grew older, I of course realised this career probably wouldn’t get me too far!

Now, I’m responsible for ensuring our members are supported, overseeing library resources, facilities management and membership management. To deliver value-adding services means we’re supporting and collaborating with our members to deliver smarter solutions that drive our industry forward. So improving members’ value from their membership is a continual core mission for me.

Previously from Steel Construction NZ (SCNZ), I bring customer service improvements, broad-ranging admin support, strategy and relevant experience liaising with fabricators, students and design engineers in our industry.

I’ve contributed to several key events such as the HERA Future Forum (formerly Metals Industry Conference) and Industry Award events to help recognise engineering stars across various sectors. Ongoing projects I oversee include fine-tuning membership benefits and services, communicating matters of importance to the membership, along with the management of our membership database – providing our team with tools to have an in-depth understanding of our members and how we can bring value to their membership in our organisation.

Outside of work, I’m a mother to two beautiful girls, two step-children and two furbabies! I enjoy the serenity of my local beaches and working in my garden (which I am very proud of!).  I would also say that I’m a person who is dedicated to those I love and support them in whatever way I can.

Now that my children are grown, I look forward to a future where I can start globe-trotting (when work and $$ allows! ????). I can’t wait to dive into new cultures and traditions and soak up all the amazing experiences the world has to offer!
